Beautiful Phidippus adumbratus females 10-12 mm
These are beautiful Phidippus adumbratus young sub/adult, adult females.
They have been captive bred by us.
They are 10-12 mm
And feeding very well on green bottle flies.
adumbratus are a stunning species, which have movements that look like they are under a strobe light.
Not seen often in the hobby, they are a beautiful species, females with a beautiful combination of reds, and gold, with stripey legs, and bushy palps.
They are an inquisitive, and very friendly and calm species.
Adumbratus are a species that need to be kept dryer, preferably with an arid soil substrate, although a Bio-Active set up with live plants suits them well, providing you only water the base of the plants and not the whole soil.
We keep ours with soil for arid species, in Bio-Active set ups, and lightly mist plant leaves occasionally.
Temperature and humidity the same as Phidippus regius.
They are an easy to keep species.
Please remember to provide a bright white light directly above the enclosure for their well being.

Gorgeous little spider, arrived promptly and safely packed. Still a little shy and made a little web in a bark tunnel but totally expected.
